Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), in collaboration with the National Capital Commission (NCC), has announced its intention to transfer a portion of the land and building of the Asticou Centre (Gatineau, Quebec) to the Government of Quebec for the development of the future University Affiliated Hospital Center. The federal Member of Parliament for Pontiac reiterated her commitment to protecting Gatineau Park and promoting health in these terms:
“As the Member of Parliament for Pontiac, the protection of Gatineau Park and the promotion of a green and prosperous Outaouais are among my top priorities. I also support the efforts of the Government of Canada and the Government of Quebec to provide the residents of the Outaouais with the modern health infrastructure they greatly need. The collaboration between various levels of government in the fields of infrastructure and health is a source of great pride for me.”
